Louisiana Gov. Jeff Landry is letting his thoughts be known about his displeasure with LSU Athletic Director Scott Woodward.
Landry told reporters Wednesday that Woodward will not be involved in selecting the Tigers' new head football coach. He also said that he would let President Donald Trump hire the new coach before Woodward.
Landry mentioned that the LSU Board of Supervisors will assemble a selection committee to find a new coach, but Woodward will not be involved if he has his way.
He criticized Woodward for signing former coach Brian Kelly to a 10-year, $95 million contract that left the school on the hook for a $54 million buyout.
