LSU officials are announcing the three finalists in the search for the university's next president, and the current interim president isn't one of them.
The finalists are McNeese University president Wade Rousse, provost James Dalton of the University of Alabama, and former University of Arizona president Robert Robbins.
The other candidates interviewed were Giovanni Piedimonte, vice president of research at Tulane, and interim LSU President Matt Lee.
LSU president William Tate resigned in May to become president of Rutgers University in New Jersey.
