Tulane Clarifies Early Reporting On Missing Primates

Researchers at Tulane University are trying to ease public fears about a group of missing lab monkeys.

They were being transferred from the school in New Orleans when the truck overturned on the highway in Mississippi. Three are still on the loose.

The school is out with a new statement, saying the monkeys are "not carrying any diseases." It was first reported they were infected with hepatitis C, herpes and COVID.

The Jasper County sheriff did confirm some were destroyed because of that.
