Three New Orleans restaurants are winners of Michelin stars in the guide's first-ever edition for the Southern states.
Emeril's earned two Michelin stars for its Creole menu of gumbo, barbecue shrimp, and cornbread. Saint-Germain and Zasu each received one star.
Another 11 local restaurants received the Bib Gourmand distinction, which indicates great food at great prices.
This Michelin guide is the first one ever to recognize restaurants in Louisiana.
