Three Defendants Plead Guilty In 2024 Murder Of French Quarter Tour Guide

Three defendants charged with the June 2024 shooting death of a French Quarter tour guide are accepting a plea deal.

Jerben Albarec, Joshua Bonifacio, and Kevin Nunez were charged with second-degree murder in the death of Kristie Gioe Thibodeaux. All three pleaded guilty on Monday to the lesser charge of manslaughter.

Albarec and Bonifacio also pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit armed robbery. Albarec was sentenced to 20 years. Bonifacio and Nunez were sentenced to 40 years.
