A state lawmaker says it's time to pass restrictions on AI in order to protect children.
A middle school student in Lafourche Parish was arrested last month for sharing AI-generated explicit photos of another student. The victim was expelled for slapping a student who reportedly showed the photos to another student.
State Senator Regina Barrow chairs a legislative group that focuses on women and children. The Baton Rouge Democrat says she plans to promote tighter restrictions on AI during next year's legislative session.
