U.S. Sen. Bill Cassidy says he's willing to work with Helena Moreno's administration in New Orleans.
Moreno was sworn in on Monday and is so far enjoying a spell of bipartisan goodwill.
Cassidy says Moreno won the votes of most New Orleans Republicans in the mostly Democratic city.
GOP House Majority Leader Steve Scalise and Democratic Congressman Troy Carter both took part in Moreno's inauguration.
Cassidy, a Republican, says he's taking steps to help New Orleans compete for federal law enforcement dollars.
