The New Orleans Saints and New Orleans Pelicans announced their initial tornado relief efforts Wednesday.
The teams are joining with the United Way, American Red Cross and Second Harvest Food Bank to provide "immediate and necessary aid to those affected by the tornadoes", according to a press release.
Donations can be dropped off at the Saints and Pelicans training facilities at 5800 Airline Drive in Metairie between 8:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Non-perishable food items, towels, blankets, toiletries and clothing are especially in need at this time.
