United Way Provides Assistance To Tornado Victims

The United Way of Southeast Louisiana is accepting financial contributions for tornado victims.

Donations can be made on line at .unitedwaysela.org or at the United Way office at 2515 Canal Street.

United Way of Southeast Louisiana and its supported programs with nonprofit Community Impact Partner Agencies can provide food, clothing, counseling and other services to make people whole.

"South Louisiana needs your help again.  Initial reports indicate there are many families who have lost their homes from the devastating tornadoes hitting our region. Most have lost everything. What they need now is hope and help", says UWSELA's Long Term Recovery Vice President, Jamene Dahmer.

"With your help United Way can provide some hope.  Every donation can help us support the boots on the ground efforts to provide immediate needs such as food and water. And we will continue to work with families on long term recovery with every dollar we raise."

Checks may be mailed to United Way of Southeast Louisiana, 2515 Canal Street, New Orleans, LA 70119.  Be sure to write 2017 Tornado Relief in the memo line.
