A woman was fatally shot Friday night when she was hit by a stray bullet fired from outside an apartment in which she was sitting.
NOLA.com reported that the victim was a 37-year-old woman who had recently moved from Honduras to be with her husband.
5 other persons were shot in the incident that occurred near Dryades and Second Street. Injured were three men and another woman.
The shots were fired from a car passing through the area around 6 p.m. and police were looking for two suspects.
There was no immediate speculation about a possible motive.
