Advocate Report: LSU Football Turns $55M Profit

The Advocate newspaper reports that the LSU football program made a profit in excess of $55 million during the 2015-2016 academic year.

The paper cited two sources for the information;  an audit conducted by the state and a financial report from the NCAA.

The Advocate reports that the football program made a total of $85 million.

The newspaper says LSU's basketball program had a profit of $2.3 million and the baseball program made $1.5 million.

As is typical for most major colleges and universities, all other sports lost money.
