Let's Boogie: Pels Introduce New Additions (VIDEO)

The New Orleans Pelicans are introducing new big man DeMarcus Cousins. "Boogie" says it's been an emotional few days but is excited about his new opportunity.

Cousins was acquired along with forward Omri Casspi from the Sacramento Kings on Monday in exchange for guards Buddy Hield, Tyreke Evans, Langston Galloway, a 2017 first-round draft pick and a 2017 second-round pick.

Cousins is averaging 27.8 points and 10.6 rebounds this season.  The 26-year-old spent his first six-plus season with the Kings, who drafted him fifth overall in 2010 out of Kentucky.

The Pelicans enter the second half of the season two-and-a-half games out of the final playoff spot in the West.
