2 Dead, 2 Injured In Separate Thurs. Shootings In N.O.

2 men were killed and two others were injured in separate shootings in New Orleans on Thursday.

The first incident occurred shortly after 3:30 p.m. at the intersection of Earhart Boulevard and Dante Street where three men were hit by shots fired by two gunmen who emerged from an SUV that had pulled up next to their car.

The driver of the car that was hit pulled into the parking lot of an auto parts store.  One man was found dead in the car and the two others were critically injured.

The gunmen fled the scene heading south on Dante Street.

Shortly before 8 p.m., a 27-year-old man was shot to death in the 3700 block of Clematis Street in Gentilly. Officers who had responded to a report of shots being fired in the area, found the victim in a vacant lot suffering from multiple wounds.  He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Names of those killed will be released by the Coroner.
