Zulu is presenting its annual Lundi Gras festival on the New Orleans riverfront at Woldenberg Park today.
The event begins at 10 a.m. and continues through 6:30 p.m. with music, food and crafts.
The festival will feature local, world-renowned and Grammy award winning entertainers performing on three stages. Among those performing are Tonya Boyd-Cannon, the Rebirth Brass Band, Michael "Soulman" Baptiste, Dwayne Dopsie and Amanda Shaw.
Boyd-Cannon, a classically trained vocalist, appeared on "The Voice" and has been a teacher at the Kipp McDonough 15 School for the Creative Arts. She is scheduled to appear on Golden Nugget Stage at 5:15 p.m.
Zulu characters including "Mr. Big Stuff" and the "Witch Doctor" will appear throughout the day.
Food will be available from at least seven vendors.
