The New Orleans Advocate reports that bail has been raised to $545,000 for the 25-year-old suspect accused of injuring up to 32 persons on the Endymion Parade route last Saturday night.
Neilson Rizzuto is facing additional counts of vehicular negligent injury in the crash that occurred at Carrollton and Orleans Avenues.
Police report that he had a blood alcohol level of nearly three times the legal limit, when he was tested some two hours after the crash.
The ages of the victims ranged from a 1-year-old to patients in their 50's. At least three people were hospitalized with moderate to serious injuries.
His initial bond had been set at $125,000.
