Louisiana State Police are investigating a fatal shooting by officers with the Houma Police Department on Tuesday evening.
Details remained sketchy on Wednesday, but the incident occurred around 7 p.m. at a home in the 700 block of Agnes Street.
Officers reportedly had responded to a call involving a man who was barricaded in the residence.
