NOPD homicide detectives are investigating a murder early Thursday morning in New Orleans East.
Shortly before 2 a.m., officers who were responding to a report of gunshots in the neighborhood, found a man shot outside a home in the 4600 block of Rhodes Drive.
Police say the victim was discovered in the carport area of the residence. He had been shot several times and died at the scene.
The identity of the man will be released by the Coroner.
