According to multiple media reports, LSU is parting ways with basketball coach Johnny Jones.
The news was first reported by NOLA.com.
The 55-year-old Jones has held the job for 5 seasons and had an overall regular season record this year of 10-20. His team won only 2 of 18 SEC games.
Jones has two years remaining on his current contract and reportedly is due $800,000, his base salary for the final two years. He received a contract extension in 2014.
Jones led LSU to an NCAA tournament appearance in 2015 and an NIT appearance in 2014.
