Two days after it hosted a town hall meeting on transgender violence, the First Unitarian Universalist Church suffered a broken window during services on Sunday.
Somebody threw a brick through a stained glass window in a side hall of the church at 2903 Jefferson Avenue. No one was injured.
The church had hosted a town hall meeting that was organized in the wake of the murders of two transgender women in the city.
The minister of the church, Rev. Paul Beedle, told the New Orleans Advocate that he believes the brick throwing incident and the town hall were linked.
Beedle said the town hall was "a very visible event."
