UNO Player Apologizes For Actions In NCAA Tournament Game

UNO center Travin Thibodeaux says he's sorry for his actions Tuesday night in the team's one-point loss to Mount St. Mary in the first round of the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament.

Thibodeaux was seen having a heated sideline exchange with teammate Christavious Gill, yelling in his ear and grabbing him by the neck before the two were separated.

Thibodeaux says his emotions got the best of him, on the "most prestigious stage in college basketball." In a heartfelt letter shared Wednesday, the player apologized to the university, fans, and his family and said he would accept whatever punishment he is given.
