Arrest made in Metairie quadruple shooting, stabbing

METAIRIE, LA (WVUE) -Sheriff Newell Normand said Friday that an arrest has been made in the quadruple shooting and stabbing that left four people dead and one injured early Wednesday morning.

JPSO deputies booked 20-year-old Armande Tart with four counts of murder, one count of attempted murder, one count of auto theft and one count of being a felon with firearm.

Normand said the motive was to steal drugs, and that there was a large amount of cocaine in the Pasadena apartment in which most of the victims were found.

The victims were identified as 40-year-old Kyle Turner, 56-year-old John Edward Henry and 61-year-old Rosemary Charles. All three of the victims died from gunshot wounds to the head. A fourth victim in the shooting was identified as a 33-year-old woman who survived. Normand said she was instrumental - as were residents of the complex - in helping deputies make an arrest.

A fifth victim, 56-year-old Harold Frisard, was found in a separate apartment. He died as a result of multiple stab wounds to the head.
