Two men and a woman were found shot to death Saturday night in a home in the 6700 block of Brutus Street in New Orleans East.
The NOPD reported that one of the men and the woman were approximately 58-years-old and that the other male victim was approximately 66.
NOPD Superintendent Michael Harrison described the scene as "horrific."
The bodies were discovered shortly before 9 p.m in the kitchen of the house by a person who had returned to the home from a trip to a store. All three of the victims were pronounced dead at the scene.
Harrison said there were no signs of forced entry and there was no immediate speculation about a possible motive.
The Superintendent called for help from the public. "The most important thing right now is for anyone who would know anything about this residence, anything about this block, anything about why these individuals would be here, what they were doing to please come forward," Harrison said.
