One man was wounded in a Sunday night shooting in Central City, according to initial New Orleans Police Department reports.
The shooting happened around 11:30 p.m. near the intersection of South Saratoga and Sixth streets.
According to our partners at NOLA.com | The Times-Picayune, witnesses identified the shooting victim as a Mardi Gras Indian.
The man was shot in the leg after the annual Super Sunday celebration.
The victim was taken to a nearby hospital.
