New Orleans Police are investigating a Monday morning Uptown shooting.
One man was shot in the 5000 block of South Liberty Street near the intersection with Soniat Street.
The shooting happened near the campus of the Isidore Newman School. School administrators say morning drop off is moving forward normally.
Residents in the area say a man was walking his dog when he saw a man breaking into cars. He confronted the man who then shot him in the leg.
Residents in the area said they heard four to five shots. At least two of the shots hit a nearby house causing one woman inside to dive to floor
