Storms brought heavy rain as they rolled through metro New Orleans this morning causing street flooding.
Storms dumped up to four inches of rain in some areas. Water was high enough at one point to reach the middle of the door of a minivan under the Lake Pontchartrain Expressway.
Traffic around the metro area was slow moving, and the causeway was under full restrictions most of the morning ,There was some standing water on multiple downtown streets.
