The NOPD is investigating a fatal shooting in the St. Claude neighborhood on Sunday night.
A 39-year-old man was found shot to death behind the wheel of a Mercury Mountaineer in the 1800 block of Louisia Street just after 6 p.m. The engine of the vehicle was still running.
The NOPD reports that the man was shot several times and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The name of the victim will be released by the Coroner.
