A 38-year-old woman and her three-year-old daughter were killed Sunday morning when strong winds flipped their mobile home in Breaux Bridge.
The woman's 12-year-old son was able to escape to the neighboring home of his grandparents along Zin Zin Road.
The sudden blast of wind that flipped the mobile home reportedly was accompanied by hail and torrential rain.
There were two unconfirmed reports of two tornadoes in Rapides Parish on Sunday.
