The NOPD is investigating a fatal shooting Tuesday evening in Mid City.
Around 6:15 p.m., First District officers responded to calls of shots fired in the 300 block of Jane Alley, off Broad Street between Canal and Banks Streets. Upon arrival, officers found an older male victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds outside of an abandoned residence.
The victim was transported to the hospital by EMS where he later was pronounced dead.
The name of the man will be released by the Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office.
