Report: Anthony Davis Barred From L.A. Restaurant

Pelicans' All-Star Anthony Davis reportedly was barred from entering a popular Japanese restaurant in West Hollywood on Monday night because he was wearing a team hoodie.

The New York Post reports that Davis was turned away from Katana by a doorman.

The newspaper's Page 6 reporter Emily Smith quoted a witness as saying, “Davis was pleading with the doorman, saying, ‘Me and my teammates just want to get something to eat.’ He said he couldn’t take off the hoodie because he was wearing a sleeveless T-shirt underneath. Davis even offered to spend a fortune to rent the private room, but the doorman said, ‘No you can’t come in wearing a hoodie.’

Smith's witness reported that "Davis got back in his SUV and left, and only then did the restaurant manager come running out, freaking out at the doorman.”

The company that owns the restaurant has a policy that bans “beachwear, athletic tops and T-shirts."
