The Essence Festival is teaming up with hip hop mogul, Master P's Team Hope NOLA foundation to conduct a "Day of Service" in New Orleans on Thursday, June 29.
They will organize a volunteer experience for local youth and traveling festival attendees to help repair an existing landmark or building as nominated by the city and its organization.
"Master P embodies the culture and pride of New Orleans and has shown his devotion to the city through his countless contributions and philanthropic efforts," said Joy Profet, General Manager of Essence.
"For this reason, Essence is honored to announce our partnership with Master P and Team Hope NOLA for a day of service."
The Festival will be held in New Orleans June 29 through July 2.
