The convicted killer of former Saint Will Smith will serve 25 years in prison.
Cardell Hayes was sentenced to 25 years in the shooting death of Smith and 15 years for an attempted manslaughter charge in the shooting of Smith's wife, Racquel.
Judge Camille Buras ruled that Hayes will serve the sentences concurrently, so in all, he will spend 25 years behind bars with no possibility of probation, parole or suspension of sentence.
Hayes will receive credit for time served.
