LSU's Fournette, Adams Among Top 6 Picks In Draft

Jacksonville, New York and Buffalo are the destinations for the three former LSU players who were selected in the first round of the NFL Draft.

Running back Leonard Fournette was the fourth overall pick by the Jaguars. Safety Jamal Adams was taken two picks later by the Jets at No. 6, and cornerback Tre'Davious White was selected No. 27 overall by the Buffalo Bills.

Fournette had an injury-plagued junior season that saw him run for 843 yards and eight touchdowns. During his sophomore season, the big back piled up 1,953 yards on the ground and 22 touchdowns. He was the highest Tiger taken in the draft since defensive end Tyson Jackson was No. 3 overall in 2009.

Adams is excited about playing for the Jets.

"I'm a city guy," Adams said. "My mom's from Yonkers, New York. My sister's from Jersey. My pops played (for) the Giants. So I think I have the right people surrounding me to help me get through my new life in the Big Apple. So I'm excited."
