Bill Shot Down For Voting On Traffic Cams

People in Louisiana won't get to vote on whether or not they want traffic cameras.

State legislators this morning struck down a bill that would let voters decide if their local governments should have traffic camera programs on any local, parish, or state road.

Members voting against it say abolishing the cameras would encourage people to speed and could endanger lives.
