Hearing Scheduled On Ownership Of Confederate Monument

A hearing is scheduled in court to determine ownership of a Confederate monument.

Wednesday's hearing is intended to establish if the P.G.T. Beauregard statue at the entrance to City Park is owned by New Orleans.

The challenge is being presented by the Monumental Task Committee, a group dedicated to preserving all monuments in New Orleans.

City officials say that no matter what, three Confederate monuments are going to be relocated although the timing for the relocations is not being made public.
