State House Passes Measures Adjusting Law Enforcement Procedures

State representatives are signing off on several measures intended to make adjustments to law enforcement procedures.

Tuesday, one of two measures passed in the state House spells out what is required before removing an officer's law enforcement certification. The second measure establishes the conditions that allow an officer involved in a shooting to contract legal defense.

Consideration of the new measures stems from the Baton Rouge police-involved shooting death of Alton Sterling last year.
