LSU softball's trip to the College World Series is likely to have to go through a local rival.
The NCAA Softball Tournament starts today with the Tigers hosting Fairfield in the Baton Rouge Regional while Louisiana-Lafayette and McNeese State play in the other game.
If LSU and ULL advance, it would be the first time they've played each other in four years despite being just 50 miles apart. If it happens, LSU senior outfielder Bailey Landry tells SECCountry.com it will be a great matchup for the state and the game.
