Drivers who depend on the I-10 Twin Spans should expect some traffic troubles for about a month.
The left lane will be closed eastbound between 7 a.m. and 2 p.m. and westbound between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. most days between this Wednesday through late June. No work will take place over the Memorial Day weekend.
Crews will be working with camera platforms along the left side of the bridge that connects Slidell and New Orleans. Occasional right lane closures will also be needed for crews to access fiber optic cable. Delays are expected to be minimal.
DOTD recommends U.S. 90 and the U.S. 11 bridge as alternate routes.
