LSU softball is a step closer to the College World Series.
The Tigers beat Louisiana-Lafayette 5-1 Monday at Tiger Park to win the Baton Rouge Regional. The win was LSU's third in less than 24 hours after heavy rain delayed games all weekend.
LSU now advances to the Tallahassee Super Regional this weekend for a best-of-three series with Florida State, with the winner advancing to the World Series in Oklahoma City.
