Landrieu Explains Why He Chose Confederate Monuments (VIDEO)

The mayor of New Orleans is defending his decision to remove Confederate monuments.

Appearing on NBC's Meet the Press, Mitch Landrieu said the four monuments should be put into the category of what should "not be revered." The monuments included statues of Robert E. Lee, P.G.T Beauregard and Jefferson Davis as well as the Battle of Liberty Place monument.

Landrieu was questioned about his political future and said he has no plans to run for president.
