State To Require Signs Posted Before Speed Camera Traps

A new law is requiring cities and parishes to have signs posted several feet in advance of speed camera traps.

The law says a sign must be posted at least 250 feet in front of speed camera traps if the city or parish intends to use the photographs to collect money from speeders.

The law has been signed by Governor Edwards and goes into effect on August 1st.
