The director and CEO of the Sacramento Zoo is taking on a new role -- in Louisiana.

Kyle Burks is moving to New Orleans to take on the role of vice president and managing director of the Audubon Zoo.

“In Kyle, we have found a managing director with impeccable qualifications and sensitivity to the culture and history of Audubon Nature Institute,” said Ron Forman, Audubon Nature Institute President and CEO. “His expertise in animal conservation and welfare, paired with his years of zoo operations experience, will strengthen Audubon’s role as a community leader in saving disappearing species and inspiring young people to care about nature.”

“We look forward to Kyle’s leadership in furthering Audubon’s mission of conservation, education and family recreation when he joins us on July 31,” said Forman.
