Tourism officials are hoping summer discounts will keep people in New Orleans during the summer months.
The Convention of Visitors Bureau has rolled out several promotions in hopes of keeping visitors coming. They also encourage residents to spend their dollars locally.
Several conventions and events have been planned at local venues. They're offering discounts at more than 100 restaurants around town.
Many restaurant owners are giving discounts to locals. All you have to do is show your New Orleans i.d.
