A Harvey man is facing charges stemming from a deadly hit-and-run accident last week in Marrero.
The Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office says 27-year-old Coltney Mitchell is charged with negligent homicide in the death of a 33-year-old woman last Tuesday night. Investigators say the pedestrian was struck by Mitchell's car at the intersection of Ames Boulevard and 6th Avenue.
He fled the scene and she died at the hospital.
