ESPN's Mike Triplett reports the New Orleans Saints have fired team orthopedists Dr. Deryk Jones and Dr. Misty Suri after a misdiagnosis of cornerback Delvin Breaux's injury.
Originally thought to be a contusion, Breaux actually has a fractured fibia that will require surgery. He could miss four to six weeks.
Rumors swirled earlier this week that the Saints were considering trading Breaux.
