Shreveport's mayor says her city is moving forward with tentative plans to build a $100 million mixed-use facility downtown.
That's after learning that Baton Rouge; Jackson, Mississippi; and Mobile, Alabama, are no longer in the running as the home for the Pelicans' new NBA G-League team. Pensacola, Florida, is the only other city on the short list.
The new team is expected to begin play next year.
