LSU-BYU "Almost Certain" To Be Moved From Houston

NCAA Football - Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl - Miami vs LSU - December 30, 2005

LSU athletic director Joe Alleva said Sunday night that he is "almost certain" that the Tigers' season opener against BYU will be moved from Houston.

The game was originally scheduled for Saturday at NRG Stadium. While the stadium has not flooded, nearby roads have.

Reports say officials at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome have offered to host the game. The final decision to move will come from ESPN and NRG officials.

If the game is rescheduled, it would not be to Sunday, due to religious observations by BYU.
