The human victims of Tropical Storm Harvey continue to get the bulk of the attention, but the Slidell Police Department is making an effort to make sure the four-legged victims aren't forgotten.
It's joined with the St. Tammany Humane Society to accept donations of pet food and other supplies for delivery to animal shelters in Houston.
You can make a donation any time through the weekend at the Alfred Drive location of the police department.
