Man Convicted In Reserve Couple's Drowning Deaths

Close of gavel in courtroom

A man convicted in the drowning deaths of a couple from Reserve, Louisiana will be sentenced next week.

A New Orleans jury deliberated about two hours yesterday before finding Horatio Johnson guilty in the February 2014 killings of Kenneth and Lakeitha Joseph.  Both victims were believed to have been tethered to 30-pound kettlebells and tossed into the Intracoastal Waterway.

Johnson faces two mandatory life sentences.
