Crews have been spending this holiday weekend plugging a 50-foot breach in a back levee located in Plaquemines Parish.
Fox 8 reports the breach is located about 20-miles south of Belle Chasse and developed late last week following the Louisiana landfall of Tropical Storm Harvey.
Rocks and clay material are being used to plug the flow of water that forced ranchers to move hundreds of head of cattle to higher ground.
