The president of St. Charles Parish is in trouble with the law.
Kenner police say an officer busted Lawrence Cochran early Saturday morning, charging him with driving under the influence and reckless operation of a motor vehicle.
Someone called 911 about a vehicle being driven erratically in the Chateau Estates subdivision.
Cochran is said to have had problems with a field sobriety test, although a breath sample detected no alcohol. A blood sample was taken to be tested at the state police crime lab.
